A Family member needs your help

From time to time we are called on to help our others, within our D&M Family.  I can think of quite a few of these situations in the 7+ years I have been with the company.  Today, I am going to ask you to help one of our agents here in the Dallas office at D&M Auto Leasing.  Steve Ealy is dealing with a very scary situation with melanoma (cancer).  He has had at least one surgery and I am told another is just around the corner.  Steve is not the type of guy, from what I have been told to ask for help, or handouts, but he could really use some financial support. 

 

Here's the story:

 

Steve has a very rare form of Melanoma that is also extremely aggressive.  Initially there was a spot on his ankle, his dermatologist removed it, and not long after it returned but much worse.  He had a major surgery on that , which is why we have seen him running around on a scooter.   Now they have found that the cancer has moved to his lymph nodes in his legs and groin.  He is having another surgery TODAY, to remove that.   After this surgery they are planning on putting him on a medication to hopefully stave off the infections movement to other parts of the body.  This is already a very tough time for Steve and it will only get worse.  He doesn’t have family, and his support system is very minimal outside the wonderful people reading this email. 

 

You can imagine yourself in a situation where you were having to go through this type of thing.  When you do come to work would you be able to be productive?  How long could you sustain your current living standards with what you currently have in savings?  This man needs your help, both financially and through your support here in the office and probably at home as well.
