Two out of every three adults is financially illiterate.

Due to the overwhelming lack of K-12 financial education, our nation's youth face higher levels of debt than ever. Students are entering the world unprepared to face financial roadblocks when they need that preparation the most.

We are a group of high school seniors in an entrepreneurship program called ACCELerator, working to develop a fiscal learning app to make education accessible and fun. With our app called HIVE, we intend to do so.

HIVE is a consolidated, easy-to-learn, and gamified mobile app for high school and college students to learn essential skills, including budgeting, banking, and investing, at launch.

We know that students value engagement in the curriculum, which is why we include gamification. Users will learn topics and play choose-your-own-adventure style review games to simulate finances in the real world. They will level up to earn in-game points, which can be exchanged for gift cards or donated to environmental charities.

HIVE is themed around both financial and environmental sustainability. In fact, a portion of our profits will go towards saving the bees, hence our name.

Our mission is to make fiscal learning widely accessible, which is why HIVE will be free on the iOS and Google Play stores.

Funding will go towards development, design, and general administrative costs. We genuinely appreciate your support on this road to making financial education accessible to all.
