Marcus Beachley stopped to administer first aid and was involved in a hit and run....here's what has happened.
First off,
I want to thank everybody for the support in the last 12 hours. To make this short and sweet, last night I stopped because I saw an accident a car on I 25 and Alameda. This accident involved a red evo 10. I stopped to provide first aid and to make sure everyone was OK… When I approached the vehicle the driver had fled the scene, in what I thought was a state of shock. I followed him down an embankment only to lose him. I then turned my attention back to the other occupants of the vehicle. While doing so I had to cross The off ramp. I did not see any other vehicles approaching me so I carefully made my way across. At the last second a silver or gray Dodge or Toyota pick up truck came out of nowhere and hit me at 50 mph. The driver did not make an attempt to swerve around me, stop, or warn me that he was approaching. I was thrown 12 feet and immediately knew the severity of my injuries. The driver did not stop. I am currently in the Denver Health Emergency room, with some pretty serious injuries…
If you happen to see this, and you were the occupants of the Evo, I hope you can live with yourselves for leaving the scene after seeing me get hit. your concern for being caught while drunk and in a vehicle was greater than that for all human life.
As for the driver of the truck please just turn yourself in, as the next five months of recovery will not be easy for me.
I am accepting visitors, but please understand the condition I am in. thank you all again for the support.  I will be in the hospital possibly until tomorrow, and have my surgeries on Tuesday. my phone does not work as it was destroyed in the impact. I will reach out to those who called and texted me when I get it fixed.
