HISTORIC GOLD COUNTRY CEMETERY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

Tax deductible
In 1856 the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Sonora Lodge #10 established the Odd Fellows Cemetery at 115 W. Lytton Street, Sonora, CA. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Tuolumne County. This historic cemetery is the final resting place of many of the county founders. It is a not for profit, nonendowment cemetery which relies upon Lodge members for the care and upkeep of the site. The IOOF Sonora is a benevolent organization that provides services and support to tour community’s youth and elderly, and maintains the historical cemetery. Because the membership is small and the lodge has limited financial resources, maintenance at the cemetery has been very limited and focuses mainly on weed removal to prevent the plots from becoming overgrown. Your donation will help to provide enhanced care of the cemetery including repairs to existing burial plots, cleaning and preservation, and to ensure the final resting places of these individual is never neglected. For more information about the cemetery visit www.ioofsonora.org and https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2248303/sonora-odd-fellows-cemetery
