The Rome First United Methodist Church in Rome, NY was built in 1868-69. It is still an active, vibrant church serving its congregation and our community.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010 it was described as being “notable for its combination of Victorian Era architectural details and its outstanding craftsmanship.”
However, this beautiful and historic church needs your help. There are a number of needed repairs to be addressed, the most urgent being repairs to its slate roof. Without the repairs to the roof structural damage will occur.
All donations will be used to repair the roof and any related damages.
Please consider a donation to help save not only an active church but also a historic treasure.
