Hip Hip Hooray for Stella

Stella is 6 years old English Bulldog & a survivor of swimmer puppy syndrome. We adopted her at 12 weeks old & did extensive therapy to get her walking  She is now having issues with her right hip & not able to use her leg. She is going to need surgery to repair it & possibly hip replacement. Her story has helped so many others by showing that swimmer puppy syndrome can be treated. We have been referred to a specialist for a 2nd opinion because her left hip actually looks worse on the X-ray then her right, they want to make sure her left hip can sustain her weight while recovering from hip surgery. Her left hip is only showing mild discomfort at this time, probably due to using it more since her right leg can’t hold her up right now. She is full of determination & that has gotten her where she is today. She doesn’t like to have help getting around, but we help as much as she will let us because it breaks our heart to see her struggle. We have helped many others & rescues throughout the years & now we need help to offset the high bills that will come with the surgery. We don’t like asking for help but we will do whatever is needed to help sweet Stella. ❤️ We truly appreciate anything.
