Hills Ukulele Festival Fund Raiser 2022

The Hills Ukulele Festival is an annual event that, in a normal world, takes place each May in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, Australia.
Hosted by Emerald Primary School, it is a celebration of all things Ukulele. Providing Workshops, Strummalongs, Gala Concerts, Opportunities for Community and School Ukulele Groups to Perform a Set on a Professionally Mixed Stage, Open Mics and Market Stalls for all things Ukulele and Ukulele Adjacent.
Unfortunately, 2020 was a year that has taken it's toll on not just every festival, but every life around the world. With one month's notice, we scrambled to turn the 2020 festival into an online event and we did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.
You can watch last year's stream here. https://www.facebook.com/hillsukefest/videos/672503646866966

This year, we have had a longer planning time and as they always do, things have gotten bigger than last year. HUF 2021 will be a two day event with workshops, strummalongs and gala concert on the Saturday 15th of May and then on the Sunday 16th of May we will celebrate ukulele from all over the world with ukulele groups from all over the globe, from primary school bands to retirement home orchestras having sent in clips of their playing for all to enjoy.
There is still time to send your own video, whether you are a ukulele soloist or group.

So why are we here on Gofundme?
Well, while in the past, the onsite festivals were ticketed events, the online festivals are free to the public. You can enjoy all of the workshops and concerts in the comfort of your home for free.
We are hoping that when 2022 rolls around, we will be able to meet once again in person and have a great big ukulele jamfest. But for that, we need to organize some fundraising in place of this year's ticket fees.
We do have a raffle, however, due to legal issues, it is only available to Australian residents. Quite a few overseas Hills Ukulele Festival enthusiasts have asked how they can support the festival and here is the answer.
We hope you enjoy the show this May and we hope to have an online aspect next year specifically for our overseas fans.
Keep healthy and keep strumming.
