#Hike4Hockey - Perpignan to Barcelona

Hi folks!
Waterford Hockey Club is a small, community based organization that caters for players from 5 to 60.
We advocate to create an inclusive environment for kids of all ages to play the game we love. We have over 300 juniors playing. Boys and Girls from 5 to 17 years old. Amazing kids, volunteer mentors and coaches that give up so much of their time to enjoy every moment on the hockey pitch. Getting kids on a pitch, getting them active, social and learning life and sporting skills is a wonderful thing to do. We want to grow this game in the region. We want more kids involved!
To help do this and cater for more players, I want to raise funds for equipment, coaching sessions, tournament participation, tours and all the necessary support functions to give these kids the best start on their hockey journey.
To do this, I am going to hike from Perpignan in France to Barcelona in Spain - 260km - 8 days of hiking - Nearly a marathon a day...ouch!
What started out as a personal challenge is now going global! Cameron De Oliveira, our South African import and midfield stalwart is joining me with some others to be announced soon!!
Bryan, Cameron and stragglers are going to hike over mountains, along the famous Camino De Ronda and taking in towns such as Argeles, Cerbere, Roses, L'Escala, Platja Cala, Platja D'Oro, LLoret, Arenys on the journey.
It all kicks off on June 11th.
We will be vlogging, periscoping, insta and FB live every day so that you can keep be honest on our quest!
