Hi everyone, my name is Gizmo and I'm 9 years old. I love to run, jump, and play but I really hurt myself a few days ago. My mom and I have visited the emergency vet clinic 3 times in the past 4 weeks, but this last time she had to leave me there because I needed to have emergency spinal surgery. I was diagnosed with a condition called Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). I needed to have a CT scan completed and the doctors told my mom that I had to go in for surgery immediately. I was suffering from pain, potential nerve damage and the doctor was scared that my condition would lead me to paralysis in both of my hind legs.
This has lead my mom into some financial trouble because I have been a regular at the emergency vet clinic. However, at this last visit her bill was really expensive and she cannot afford to pay it; which is why we would really appreciate any help that we can get so I can walk again. Everyone who knows me knows that I am a happy sweet little boy who just wants to go for walks and eat as many treats as possible.
As Gizmo's mom I just want to let everyone know how much he means to me, he's my little angel who never leaves my side. He always puts a smile on my face and on anyone who meets him. He is so gentle, kind, and loving and I cannot imagine not having my little boy beside me.
I have attached one of the latest vet bills so you can see how this has become very expensive very fast. Any help at all would be very much appreciated.
