HHS Pioneers to SETC in Mobile, AL!

After 25 years as the director of Heritage High School's Pioneer Theatre, I am proud to announce that we finally placed first at VTA's Theatre Conference and will represent Virginia at SETC (South Eastern Theatre Conference) in Mobile, AL!  When we made finals, I told the company that they were doing what many talented casts that I had taken to VTA didn't have a chance to do. To perform in finals. And while I said they have to do it for themselves, I did say do it for all those wonderful Pioneer Thespians that went before them. This cast delivered!  It was beautiful. But now the task is to get them to Mobile. You all know we aren't a school community with deep pockets or financial resources, but we are a school with great pride and big hearts. That is why I'm calling out to all my former students and families and friends that loved their Theatre experience or loved working with me to help get these actors to the next level. Our bus will cost over 7K, so will the hotel rooms, and conference fees close to 4K and there's the cargo van rental....so, so much. But there are so many of you!  If you could find some way and give it back to these kids - say $20?  - that would help so much. More if you can. Let's put Pioneer Theatre in the spotlight!
