Joyce's medical fund

Joyce Doucette is friend to many in Wolfeboro, NH. She is also a cherished friend of the Ganem family and has been a caregiver to Philip Ganem over the many years since he suffered a stroke. She is a very caring woman who never hesitates to do for others, always going above and beyond what is expected. Last year Joyce developed breast cancer, and after assurances from her doctors that the cost of treatment would be fully covered, she had a mastectomy. As is her nature, she got back on her feet quickly and was right back at the Ganem house, taking excellent care of Phil.  Then, the medical bills started arriving. Despite the previous assurances, it turns out Joyce is facing $10,000 in bills for her breast cancer treatment. This is something she simply cannot afford.
