As most probably know, I've been doing physically well and mainting a positive outlook. I was diagnosed with something when I was just 18, and that later turned into Acute Lymphocitic Leukemia and I underwent a bone marrow transpant that was mostly curative. The cancer treatment has left both hips and shoulders destroyed and needing total arthroscopy. I am in a risk section all my own, becuase of my complicated medical history. Because of my complicated medical history, they are doing the surgery with the palliative team at Stanford. I am set to have the first hip replacement done 10.19.15, but am not looking forward to it. Along with a complicated medicated stay, I'm going to have to arrange two-weeks of in-home nursing care and a bed for me to recover in. I dont know what the insurace will cover, but it wont cover the special mattress I'm going to need-one that isnt close to the ground. Other expenses I'm sure havent even been thought of yet. After the surgery, I would like to donate my life to art and painting, which require funds as well. If you can help me pay-forward some of the art and photo equipment I've lost, it would be a dream that I never thought would fruition!
