Helping hands for Haiti's orphans

Two years ago, I was introduced to a group of orphans in Gressier, Haiti. These orphans turned out to be the most resilient and caring children I’ve ever met. They have forever changed my life, and with your help, we can change theirs as well.
Every morning these 38 beautiful souls wake up at 6 am to sing prayers and get ready for the day. They do chores, such as sweeping and mopping, as a team and help each other out when needed. They eat their meals together and make sure not a morsel is wasted, feeding each other until the plates are empty. They attend classes at the orphanage and some go to school. They do all of this with a smile on their faces and happiness in their heart, even though they are here because their parents perished in an earthquake or a hurricane, or simply abandoned them because they were unable to care for them. They do this with no electricity until late at night, if at all, and with no indoor plumbing, bathing with buckets of cold water. They do this with no air conditioning, ill-fitting clothes and shoes and very few resources. They do this because they know it could be so much worse. But it could also be so much better.
Your donation in any amount will be greatly appreciated and go directly to the orphanage in Gressier for immediate improvements to the orphanage and care for the children. Funds will go to dental treatment that the children are in dire need of, food for the kids, and to the creation and maintenance of a vegetable garden the children will care for themselves. The children are also in need of educational resources such as books, as the few they do have are in tatters. Shelving needs to be built so each child has at least one shelf to call their own. Clothing and shoes are very much needed as well. In time, we would like to establish a permanent power supply for the orphanage and even a plumbing system.
These things most of us take for granted every day are considered luxuries or mere fantasy to these children. Let’s turn these fantasies into reality.
