We have created this fund on behalf of Troy and Alicia Parker and their son Landon.
Troy and Alicia are two of the strongest, most loving parents you could ever meet. They need to be as they have faced more struggle and heartbreak than most people could ever imagine facing.
Troy and Alicia lovingly welcomed their first born baby boy, Landon, into the world on March 11, 2013 and finally they had the family that they had always dreamed of having. As he developed in those first several months it became very evident that something was not right with their precious baby. After tests were conducted it was determined that Landon was born with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy that would mean a lifetime of disability, physical therapy, and medical care. Troy, Alicia and the rest of the family were devastated by this news but since the day Landon was born they have been the most loving, nurturing, and caring parents Landon could possibly ask for, and Landon is one of the happiest little babies you could ever meet.
It has not been easy for them in any way: emotionally, physically, or financially. Landon needs around the clock care and has had and will continue to have countless trips to the hospital, multiple times a week, every week, including several trips to the emergency room.
Earlier this year, to Troy and Alicia's surprise, Alicia became pregnant. At 6 weeks they found out it was twins. They were shocked, scared, but also very excited and happy with this news.
Tragically, at 8 weeks they found out that Baby A had passed away. They were devastated but with the other baby still looking strong they held onto hope that Baby B would make it through. Sadly, at 15 weeks, they just had to say goodbye to Baby B, a baby girl. With all the ailments of this pregnancy Alicia has missed a lot of work and their bills have piled even higher.
With everything that this couple has gone through it is amazing to see that their strength still lives on and they are making it work the best they know how for the sake of their precious son, Landon. They are an inspiration.
As the family of Troy, Alicia, and Landon Parker we are asking for donations to help ease their financial struggle through this very tragic and difficult time and to help with any future expenses for their son Landon.
