Help towards Oreo’s surgery

Update: Thank you to everyone who has donated to help Oreo. We really appreciate your support. Oreo continues to do well and gets his stitches out today. Please know that any funds raised in addition to our goal will be used as a cushion for the next emergency.
Oreo is either an abandoned or lost cat that was found with a badly injured tail on Bobcaygeon Road, The condition of his tail was painful and getting worse and worse. The only option the vet had was to amputate Oreo’s tail.
We have been desperately trying to see if we can find an owner for Oreo but no leads so far. This includes both social media and several posters around town.
This surgery has significantly depleted the funds we need for the on-going costs associated with our cats in the shelter. But, we had no option but to help out this sweet little guy.
A kind lady in Minden has stepped in like a guardian angel to give temporary refuge to Oreo. She is now giving him the loving care he needs during the next couple of weeks he needs to recover from his operation. Oreo is an amazing little cat and in spite of losing most of his tail and having to wear a cone the next two weeks, is still batting at strings and purring loudly while he cuddles with his temporary caregiver. However, because of other obligations Oreo’s temporary caregiver cannot offer him a permanent home. So we need to find his owner ASAP or soon we will have to try to find a new forever home for him. Oreo is a super affectionate and playful cat that loves to be cuddled. We are all so happy that we have been able to help him.
