Hi everyone!!
First off, I just want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read about what's going on in my life. Recently, I have felt the Holy Spirit move MOUNTAINS inside my heart and I feel I am being called into ministry of some sort! I know this doesn't make much sense to the world because my journey looks different than others my age, but I am fully embracing what God has in store for me.
With that being said, I am so excited to introduce YWAM (Youth With A Mission) to many of you! On September 27th I am embarking on yet another journey: Here I Grow Again! In this season of life I will be spending 6 months total in Discipleship Training School. The first 3 months will be on base in beautiful Kailua Kona, Hawaii. I will be enlisted in the program Fire & Fragrance- Compassion Ablaze. Through this program I will have the opportunity to listen to teachings on the character and nature of God, hearing His voice, spiritual warfare, etc.
The last 3 months I will be entering into the Outreach phase where my team and I will be going to the ends of the Earth for love! we're headed to The HIMALAYAS!!! Here we will be making the name of Jesus known in the places that have never heard His name. We are joyfully being the hands and feet of Jesus speaking identity over the lost and seeing miracles and healings happen. we will be trekking in The Himalayas for 2 weeks going into the villages and sharing the simple gospel with the Napoli people.
I am in women and infant health here in YWAM where I am learning midwifery in order to prepare me for my outreach. By the end of lecture phase I will be able to teach these women about pregnancy, health precautions, walk them through labor, and help deliver their baby. Sadly, most women who are in the mountains have no knowledge of pregnancy or what a healthy delivery looks like. Baby boys are favored in this culture because 1. They can pass the family name down but 2. Hard manual labor can be done for the family. Often times, when women find out they are pregnant with a girl they see them as useless to the household and are embarrassed to tell their husbands. This creates a huge identity and rejection crisis among young girls starting at a very young age.
I can’t go into much detail in order to ensure the safety of these women & children but we will also be going into a safe house and walking with them in steps of recovery/ preaching the gospel to women who have been sexually trafficked and rescued.
I am praying over every single day of this trip and am so expectant for whats to come. Of course, I cannot make this happen without your help. I'd love for you to be apart of my journey and walk through this season of life together! Your donations will be going towards my tuition as well as the flight fares and opportunity for me to be able to get to where I'm being called in order to touch these women and children's lives.
