Her Business is a handbook for female African entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds.
"Disadvantaged" is a broad word that includes rural girls who were removed from school because girls are not worth educating; high school students who know that college is an impossibility for them; young mothers who are trying to support their families on twenty or thirty dollars a month; inmates who were imprisoned for poverty-related offenses and whose chances of reoffending are virtually 100%; and so many more. When you are stuck in poverty, you are STUCK. This book is designed to give women practical tools whereby they can generate an income, create a new vision of what's possible, and shift the balance of their lives FOREVER.
Her Business covers the basics around starting and running a business, includes oodles of resources from other local organizations that give women hands-on support at various stages of the process, and --new content that I added this year--a unique focus on women's inherent skillsets (communication, multi-tasking etc) that even the most impoverished woman can utilize to succeed in business.
In short: this book is different, it's powerful, and it's overdue. Multiple corporates are waiting to buy this book and distribute it to Kenyan women; I just need your help to get it ready!
My vision is for MILLIONS of young women to experience a transformation of their lives and options when they access the information in this book.
