We need your help!
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, our good friend Herb Alexander was admitted to Huntington hospital. Many, if not all, know Herb from SMCAA youth basketball. He has been working with communities and schools in the greater Los Angeles area for over 30-plus years. Since the inception of SMCAA in 2006, he has been the lead referee for the youth basketball program.
Herb’s contributions to our community during his 10 years of dedicated and selfless service are many and varied. He has helped players, coaches and parents learn the game of basketball and the meaning of sportsmanship with great warmth and passion. All of the participants, past and present, have benefited from his guidance, teachings and friendship. It’s now time we help him.
