We have cast, script, team and locations locked but now its time to pay to put in motion. We have applied for grants but all have asked to come up with a portion ourselves!
We need about $20000 for film and productions and finalizing the script for the proof of concept.
Why this series? About the series?
We want to watch Dramedies!
But, not just any dramedy; one that has wit and fun and good stories with characters that make me want to cheer for them even when I shouldn’t. Since the content is dry out there and doesn’t really give me something new, a tilt on a wild concept, and a tongue-in-cheek poke at society, I spent the last two years creating a series of serial killers that centralize their resources behind the front of a film production company in a place where no one will expect it…in Canada and in plain sight. Each member has a story and trauma they are trying to resolve; each vetted by Avery Kessel. Destiny and happenstance prove that birds of a feather flock together to weather adversity of social norms and moral codes. A twisted tale of “family”, purpose, and killer opportunity. A support network and club where membership has its benefits, because what more could a killer want than to fly under the radar when sourcing props, weapons, locations, and an alibi. They couldn’t possibly have done the crime when they were on work time?!? At Mask N Tape productions, content and reality cross lines (and names) and, its business has never been more in demand! The post-pandemic society consume at an alarming rate. With the popularity of murder mysteries, gore, and a great antihero, society is finding justice and guilty pleasure in validation of murder (in film…) when an antihero removes the world of horrible bullies, bosses, and family. So why not give them what they crave? A good story and a dead bad guy.or two?
