Henry's Medical Support Fund

On October 29th, 2020 my Uncle, Henry Watier suffered a stroke that has left the Left side of his body immobile. He is able to speak (with great effort) and has sensation and reflex on his left side, but will have a long road of physical therapy and rehabilitation ahead of him. We expect at least 6 months to a year before he is able to more self sufficient.

With that it mind, Henry and I have made the decision to move him down to Texas so that I can assist with his care.  Until he is discharged from rehab, we aren't sure just how much care will be needed. He may require longer term assisted living, a caretaker or additional assistance. For now, we know the cost for medical transport to bring him down, and the moving expenses related to packing his belongings and shipping them down. 

We were able to get him into a physical rehabilitation center for 30 days following his discharge, but will have to move him down prior to the end if the year.

It is a terrifying amount, if I'm honest, and a much larger expense than anyone in my family is really prepared for, so any help is greatly appreciated. Any funds that do not go directly to his transport, or any surplus, will be applied to his extensive medical bills.
