Our friend Henry Francisco came to the United States of America from the Dominican Republic to live the American dream. A cyclists, bike racer and entrepreneur Henry has always been fascinated with cycling and bicycle design and he decided to take whatever money he had saved from working long hours, 7 days a week to start Montecci Bikes.
Through determination, sacrifice and sweat, Henry built his small bike brand to be recognized by the UCI and opened a small shop Hudson Bikes in New Jersey across the George Washington Bridge to sell his frames and bikes. Henry was in fact living the dream as his business was picking up and he was able to do start focusing on trying to scale his brand. Sadly and recently, his shop was robbed not once, though twice in the last four weeks, potentially destroying his dreams and leaving him in a financial situation that is difficult to recover from.
Henry's shop does have business insurance, however, after deductibles and loss of business from these robberies, has put his business in a hard situation and I am hoping our NY/NJ bike community can help him out.
Those that know Henry have experienced his generosity. Time and again, Henry will go without to help others before filling his own needs. He is generous not only with providing free service, he has also contributed so much to the cycling community in and around the NYC area.
