Tony's Battle w/ Pancreatic Cancer

About Tony – Erick “Tony” Boggess is a 50 year old husband and father of one. Tony is a master Toyota parts professional by trade and an avid fisherman and off road motorcycle rider. Tony is loved and respected in the San Diego Toyota community for his excellence in the workplace.  

Tony’s medical battle - Approximately 6 months ago our great friend Tony Boggess was found to have pancreatic cancer. The tumor was discovered on a routine trip to the hospital after some blood work was conducted for another matter. Tony became very ill very quickly, experiencing tremendous weight loss and lack of energy. This type of cancer rarely shows symptoms or is discovered until it’s too late and in fact is known as “the silent killer”. Tony has endured months of chemotherapy and radiation and is now scheduled to have the surgery to extract the tumor on March 4th 2015 at a local San Diego hospital. Tony’s spirits remain positive and knowing him the way we in the local Toyota dealer community know him he will be fully recovered soon.

Financial hardship – As you can imagine the medical bills alone have been astronomical! As a direct result of this illness Tony and his family have been forced to sell their beloved family home that he worked so hard to purchase and took pride in maintaining. Additionally they have been forced to sell their rental property which they had hoped would provide a nest egg in their old age. They have sold much of their personal belongings including furniture just to try to stay afloat. If that’s not enough the cancer was discovered a week after sending their son Peter off to college in Flagstaff. Being this sick Tony has been unable to work since nearly day one upon discovering that he had pancreatic cancer. The bills continue to pile up and now Tony’s family must be out of their home by March 14th 2015 and will seek a rental property to live in.

Our Goal – We are very hopeful that with your generous help we can raise enough monies to assist Tony and his family in relocating to a new place to live and perhaps some additional funds to help pay off some of the tremendous burden that has fallen on this wonderful family!

Proceeds – 100% of all monies donated will go directly to Tony Boggess and his family.
