Help the Tarpeys

Friends, we need your help for a family in crisis.  Bob Tarpey suffered a traumatic brain injury while enjoying an evening bicycle ride home from his favorite restaurant with his wife and son on August 10, 2017.  Sadly, what started as a family outing on a beautiful summer night ended in tragedy when Bob fell from his bike and hit his head badly on a telephone pole.

Since that time, Bob has remained in a coma in critical condition.  While he has made some promising progress, it is still unknown when he will recover, and he is likely to have substantial brain damage.

This is obviously an incredibly heartbreaking time for Bob’s family and all of his friends who love him.  Everyone knows Bob as the life of the party, energetic, fun-loving, and passionate.  His good nature is infectious, and his laughter and smiling blue eyes are deeply missed.  Most importantly, Bob is a devoted husband to his wife Colleen, and a dedicated stay-at-home dad to his adoring nine-year-old son William.

Colleen and William are now facing the challenge of their lives as they wait to see what the road ahead brings.  In the meantime, they must continue to live their lives, go to school, and get through each day, all without Bob, the backbone of their family.  We want to help them as much as we can, to lighten the load and help defray the expenses this family is going to face in the coming months.  Bob’s treatment and daily care will be expensive.  Childcare must be arranged for William.  These and other costs will continue to grow and create stresses this family does not need.
