One of our members, co-worker and friend Terry Derr received news on 4/10/18 that we all never want to hear, “You have Pancreatic Cancer with Mets to Liver”. Terry is currently receiving Chemo Therapy in a battle with this Dragon of a Beast.
Who is Terry Derr?
Terry Derr has been a paramedic with AMR for the past 15yrs and before that Rural Metro and other private ambulance providers in the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area. During this time he has served as union-treasurer, mentor to others, friend and colleague. Terry has spent his entire career caring for members of the community in their time of need.
Terry will be having out-of-pocket expenses related to his treatment and battle, as well as additional expenses during this time.
What can you do?
Now is the time for those who know Terry Derr and those within the EMS Community to help one of their own in his time of need.
AMR is a large company, IAEP is a large union, and the EMS Community is a large community all are known for taking care of their own. We ask that everyone please consider donating to help Terry Derr in his time of need and share this cause with others. All donations go DIRECTLY to Terry and his family.
