Ryan Stevens has been battling aggressive melanoma cancer for the past four years. The disease was being successfully managed--against all odds--and Ryan had returned to teaching highschool, coaching wrestling, and being a fully involved father and husband.

Then last week Ryan unexpectedly experienced three significant strokes--a tragic consequence of the brain radiation treatment he had received years ago. The results of these strokes are traumatic. Ryan is now almost completely paralyzed (with the exception of limited ability in his left arm), unable to speak, and entirely dependent on a feeding tube. On Saturday, Ryan and his family received heartbreaking news that these physical disabilities could very likely be permanent. But Ryan is determined to proceed with physical therapy in the hope of increasing the chances of recovery.

Ryan cannot work and will require a longterm caregiver and many other medical and therapy expenses, which places a huge financial strain on their young family as Ryan has been the primary financial provider. If you are able to help, it would no doubt be a great financial relief to them at this time. This good family has already endured so much, and this trial will not be short-lived.
