Make Pupa's sanctuary a non-profit on paper
My name is Priya Cynthia Kishna. Many of you know me as the artist of Vegan Artbook, but I am also the founder of Pupa's micro sanctuary in The Netherlands, which is the home of dozens of animals saved from abuse and cruelty.
In 2013 I started taking in abandoned and abused animals. When the number of animals rose in 2015, I started a micro sanctuary in my backyard, which I financially sustain myself by drawing vegan comic books, of which 100% of the profit goes to the animals. It's still itty-bitty tiny, but here's the thing:
I WANT TO EXPAND THIS SANCTUARY SO I CAN SAVE MORE ANIMALS.
And the first step to do so is to become a non-profit on paper.
I've been paying for the animals' feed, medical treatment and spaying/neutering from my own pocket for 5 years, but because the number of animals has been increasing lately, it's getting harder for me.
My sanctuary is completely non-profit and I work hard every day to provide the animals with everything they need. I am so passionate about this and helping innocent beings means the world to me! I currently can only take in rabbits, rodents, dogs and other small animals, but I want to be able to help farm animals, too. And becoming a non-profit on paper is the first step to be able to do so; it will allow me to accept donations for the animals.
I NEED YOUR HELP!
To be able to register Pupa's sanctuary as a non-profit, I have to pay notary fees. This is a hard hit on the roof of my (still) small sanctuary. But it is the first step to be allowed to expand it, open a charity bank account and be able to receive donations for the animals.
I don't want to turn down animals who need my help, I am in this 100% for the animals, so that's where I guarantee 100% of the money goes to, even if this crowdfunding will receive more funds than I need for the notary. I want to expand it, I want to save farm animals in need, too, like goats, chickens, turkeys, sheep, cows and pigs. That's why my sanctuary will have an open administration, where visitors can actually look into the administration to confirm that 100% of the donations go to the animals.
I thank everyone for their help and I hope that this campaign will be succesful. Of course I'll keep posting updates on it. I hope you will consider helping Pupa's sanctuary take its first step to become a larger safe haven for animals.
