Goodbye Miss Cleo :(

We've just been given the devastating news that our beautiful rescue greyhound, Cleo, has aggressive bone cancer and needed to be put to sleep this afternoon.

This came about after suffering a severe fracture in her upper femur, which required immediate specialist surgery to repair. This was before they knew she had the bone cancer. Biopsy results came back today, revealing the advanced cancer, and the heartbreaking decision was made to send her over the Rainbow Bridge.

I've set up this page in the hope of raising funds to help pay for the specialist veterinary costs of the surgery and weeklong hospitalisation, which have been estimated at around $6000-$7000. 

It was obviously a terrible blow to be hit with such an enormous bill, but even worse now that the surgery was all for nothing.

We absolutely adored this dog, who we adopted 6.5 years ago from Greyhounds Adoptions WA. She was such a big part of our family and we can’t imagine our home without her.
