Help Mira Kick Breast Cancer's Butt
*** UPDATE! Mile has recieved a huge donation from elsewhere and now our goal is only 4,500$! Thank you everyone so far for your generous donations. We are more than halfway now! I've gotten more information on where all of this is being done. Me and Mile met at the Art institute of Vancouver back in 2011 - since then he has been one of my bestfriends. Currently we both reside in Vancouver and his mom is a resident of Serbia but in Turkey getting her treatment. So far all of this support is very unexpected and I couldn't be more grateful for it. Once we reach our goal - this money will be transferred to Mile in which he will send to his Father and Sister to continue paying for the rest of Mira's treatment. If you do want to know anything else - please don't hesitate to ask me. The money will go directly from goFundMe to Mile Panic's bank account/pay pal in which he will send it directly to his sister Marija Panic's account in Serbia in which she will go and help pay for Mirjana Panic's treatment in turkey. My very dear friend Mile Panic's mom Mirjana (goes by Mira), is 56 years old and was diagnosed with breast cancer two weeks ago. For those of you who know Mile, you know that he is an extraordinary human being. He is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts his friends and family before himself. Mira currently lives in Serbia and Mile is currently living in Vancouver.
That being said earlier this summer Mira was experiencing pain on her ribs, she repeatedly she went to the doctor and told it was nothing. Eventually the pain got worse and it came to the conslusion that Mira was diagnosed with breast cancer. The cancer has grown and is in it's late stages. It has surpassed the breast and spread into the liver and lungs. At this point her liver isn't able to detoxify anything so she is in excruciating pain as her whole body is slowly swelling up. The doctors predict she has about 4 weeks to live - the silverlining under all of this is that there is hope for her. Mira has now flown to Turkey to undergo a procedure called "Cyber-knife Radio Therapy" plus Chemo therapy meds that are not available in Serbia, and undergo a procedure of chemo as well.
The treatment is estimated to cost 15,000 (CAD). This is a huge cost to bare in such a short period of time. Back home in Serbia - they have inlisted a property they own on sale but it is lookimg impossible to sell it in time to keep the treatments going. The treatments are paid and done in increments, so for now her first treatment is covered by all the funds her family managed to bundle together. Now, I am here asking for anyone who is willing to help pitch in for any of her on-coming treatments so she can continue in hopes of kicking cancer in the butt.
I can't imagine how hard it would be to go through a loved one becoming close to Cancer's trap and not having the funds to do anything about it. Everything we can do to help and surround her with love is what is most important so Mira can focus on beating this thing.
