My family and friends in Puerto Rico NEED our help!
I've never done this before, but at this point, I'll do anything to help my family and friends back home. It's been a week since hurricane Maria ripped through the island causing nothing but devastation. Tons of families were stripped out of the little they had and worked so hard for, including mine. My family lives in the west coast of the island in the towns of Aguada, Aguadilla, and Rincón. Towns that were left with absolutely no source of communication and had no media attention until a couple days ago, and have been completely neglected. Leaving all those that live there to fend for themselves.
My father and many family friends lost their homes and are left with nothing. During these 7 days I've only been able to speak to one cousin on the phone and a family friend through facebook. My brother was able to speak to his girlfriend and my mom was able to reach my grandmas care taker. They have all expressed the terrible conditions and chaos that they are living in. The island is still without electricity, many of the roads are impassible. They have to wait in long lines to buy a small ration of gasoline, there is no water and very little food left. As of yet they have not received any help from the government or charitable organizations.
As many of you know my plans were to move to PR the 3rd week of Oct. I will still be traveling to PR with the help of God, and need your help, not only to provide for my loved ones, but their neighbors too. I ask you to please donate what ever you can, anything will help. Also as soon as the post office opens I will be shipping items to them as well. So I welcome supplies too. I appreciate any help you guys can provide.

Baby and adult diapers

I want to thank everyone that has reached out to me, to check on me, ask how my family is doing, and offered to help. My coworkers at Lakeview Dermatology, you guys have been my rock. Thank you for your support and always making me smile. Please continue to pray for all those affected by the recent natural disasters. I know with the help of God we will get over this time of crisis.
