Help Stayer Family in Houston

Donation protected
In 2015, Sara and Martin Stayer left the city of Chicago with their family to start a new chapter in their lives in Houston. Accompanying them on this journey were their two beautiful boys Wyatt and Eddie.

On Sunday, August 27, Hurricane Harvey hit the city of Houston, destroying millions of homes including the home of Sara and Martin Stayer. From their couch, to their clothes, down to the very bed they once slept on, they have lost every memory and everything they have ever worked for.

We are beyond blessed to know that the Stayer family is safe and we are determined to do anything, and all we can to help them get back on their feet. Every donation, regardless of the amount, will make a difference.

“Our house is destroyed, but my boys’ spirits haven't suffered a hiccup because of all of you.”
-Sara Thompson Stayer

Who am I: Sarah Cortesi from Chicago, IL
Relation: Sister to Sara Thompson Stayer
How the Stayer family will use the funds: They are hoping to repair all the damage done to their home from the flooding, to include replacing the walls, cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms and mudroom, repairing electrical damage, replacing flooring throughout the home, and replacing basic furniture like mattresses, couch, dressers, etc. In the event that FEMA does not provide support, the funds will be spent to rent a place to temporarily live.
The Stayer family will have direct access as the beneficiaries to receiving the funds.
