Help Mars Get His Bounce Back

Help! Mars broke his leg!
Sunday morning Mars was bouncing around the house as he normally does when he jumped onto the bathroom counter so he could go sit in his favorite window. Upon his landing, Mars jumped down screaming in pain with his leg dragging behind him. We rushed him to an emergency Vet where they performed x-rays and confirmed he broken is Tibia.
A little about Mars:
Kristopher (Katie's Brother) originally rescued Mars (then known as Grey Kitty and is now named after everyone's favorite High School P.I., Veronica Mars) when he went to a local Bay Area shelter and asked for the cat who had been there the longest. Mars was brought to the shelter as a kitten and had been there for a year. Kristopher eventually moved back down to Southern California but was unable to take Mars to his new home. That's when Kelley (Katie's Mom) stepped in. Kelley had Mars for a few weeks, but being the most energetic cat in the world, he was too much for her senior cats to handle. That's when Katie and Gab decided they would give him a chance. It was the best decision they have ever made after getting married (says Katie at least).
What is needed:
Mars is at now at an animal hospital in Glendale awaiting surgery to fix his leg. He will need to have a combination of pins and plates inserted and will be recovering for the next 6-8 weeks. The surgery is costing several thousand dollars on top of what was already spent at the emergency vet.
Any and all help you can provide would be much appreciated. Anyone who comes into contact with Mars, either in person or through his various Instagram stories that Gab post almost daily are taken by his infectious personality as well voracious amounts of affection that he has to give.
