Help Lynn Recover from Harvey!

Please help our friend Lynn through this terrible time!

Most of you have been wathching the devastation from Harvey unfold in the Houston area.  The Northwest side of Houston received over 32-33 inches of rain in just a matter of days.  Just to put that into perspective, on an average year Houston receives ~47 inces of rain, in a YEAR.  Fortunately most of my friends and family were spared from the floods however a good friend of mine, Lynn, was not so lucky.  Her home is located on the northwestern edge of the Addicks Reservoir and is now flooded due to the releases from the reservoir.

The public was notified late Sunday night that the flood control district would start releasing waters from the reservoirs within hours.  Lynn raised her belongings and furniture in her home, grabbed her dog, Max, important documents, and the few belongings she could and evacuated early Monday morning.  We tried to return to her home Tuesday afternoon to get some more documents and things for her sons but it was too late.  The water had risen so much that we couldn't even get close to the neighborhood.  Below are the pictures of the surrounding areas ... what we could see was completely flooded so it's likely her home has at least 4-6 ft of water right now.

Lynn was renting this home and moved in just a month ago!  She does not have renter's insurance or flood insurance on her personal property (even if she did not sure if it would have been effective so soon).  We don't know what is going to happen but from the news reports and info from the flood district the house will probably be flooded for weeks or even months.  Others who flooded are back in their homes today, ripping out sheet rock and salvaging items that didn't get wet, but unfortunately we can't even do that.  I hate to say it, but any of Lynn's (and her son's) items that did not get wet will likely not survive sitting in those wet conditions for weeks!  Without insurance Lynn's only hope for financial assistance is from FEMA and who knows what, if anything, they will cover.  She has a lot to figure out right now but we know she has a long, tough road ahead of her so we're asking for donations to help her with this recovery.

Lynn is a native Houstonian and loving mom to three sons, Keaton, Micah, and Kacey.   She is also a single mom supporting Micah and Kacey who are both enrolled at UTSA.  Lynn is an amazing mom, a Christian, a member of the Second Baptist Family, a Langham Creek Lobo Mom (always :)), and an overall beautiful person and I'm proud to say she's my friend.   Please help with any amount that you can!!  Thank you!

Adding this info below for the gofundme folks who are checking all fundraisers to make sure they're legitimate:

1.  Who are you/where are you from?  My name is Erika Fenton, I'm a friend of Lynn Beasley's and we live on the Northwest side of Houston
2.  Your relationship to the to party your raising funds for:  Lynn is a good friend of mine that I've known for over 12 years; I consider her and her sons family!
3.  How will the funds be spent:  All Lynn has right now, besides her dog, Max, are the important personal documents she was able to take with her and what we could fit in 4 garbage bags.  The funds will go towards rebuilding because she will need everything; furniture, household items, clothes, etc.
4.  Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary:  Lynn is set up as the sole beneficiary and only she can withdraw funds from gofundme.

Thank you!!

9/3 UPDATE:
With the help of a sweet neighbor with a boat Lynn was able to get close to her house today.  The water has receded a lot, but she was able to confirm they got at least 3-4ft or so of water in the house.  She wasn't able to go inside but below are pictures of the outside of the house and of the neighborhood.
