HELPLESS LITTLE GUY HIT BY A CAR

I was heading home after taking my little man to school and saw a dog limping around in a yard.  I turned around and another girl, Pam, had stopped.  The dog had just been hit by a car AND THEY DIDN'T STOP.  The dog was limping around and wouldn't let us get close and Pam finally got him and he layed on the ground and let her pet him.  The gentleman whose yard we were in graciously gave us a blanket.  The City Police offered to take him to PAWS but well anyway I chose to take him to the Vet.  I bundled him in the blanket and Pam helped me get him in the car.  I was prepared for him to bite but he was just scared.  He was bleeding from the nose and mouth and you could hear him gurgling.  I took him to the closest Vet.  All he wanted to do in the car was try to climb in my lap - he is precious!  Once we got to Stones River Veterinary Hospital they were amazing!  They scooped him out of my arms and rushed him to the back.  He has a hemothorax and a broken leg (obvious).  They are currently trying to stablize him and then will check for other injuries.  I spent a couple of hours this morning going door to door to find owner but no luck.  I have posted on facebook, text pics to my kids in school to share, and the Hospital posted on all lost pet sites on facebook.  
     I called my husband on the way to the Vet and he said do what we need to do so here we are .... hence this GoFundMe account which I have never done.  His bill from today is almost $1,000.00 so far.  If all my facebook friends could just donate $5 it would be enough to take care of whatever costs we should incur.  I will post the bills and payment on here so everyone knows where the money goes and any overage will be donated to a pet rescue foundation.  I will keep ya'll updated on his condition - it just breaks my heart!  I couldn't imagine if this was one of my fur babies!
