Stolen car and doctor's bag!

August 3rd. You wake up, have a relatively normal morning that involves a good amount of coffee to open your eyes. You put your wallet and a stick of gum in your pocket, put on your best face, feel ready to face the new day, and you look out the window and discover... your car isn't there.

Your white Chevy Sonic with Wisconsin license plates? Your car "Ol' Reliable" is gone. G-O-N-E. Along with everything inside it, which was a lot.

This scenario happened to one of our very own FTCA student members, Kristy Arneson. After a thorough investigation by the police, the theft was written off as unrecoverable. While her car insurance is helping to pay off the rest of the stolen car's loan... she is now faced with coming up with the funds to put a down payment on another one. This is a massive burden and struggle.

Plus, within the trunk of her stolen car? Her doctor's bag, which she's using for school. Way to rub salt in the wound, thieving jerks.

Kristy is an exemplary FTCA member. As a student, she has dedicated countless hours assisting FTCA committee endeavors, as well as helping other members feel at home. She is smart, compassionate, and persistent. Kristy is a rising star in our profession. 

It's difficult being a chiropractic student as it is with rising costs of tuition and board exams. On top of this stress, Kristy holds a part-time job while going through school. Having reliable transportation is a must.
