Help Ken's Ongoing Costs of Care
On Sep 6, 2016, Ken was involved in a workplace accident. While working his shift as a traffic controller, he fell off the back of a truck into a metal man-basket. Immediately the trauma set in. What first appeared to be a brain and body injury triggered the rapid progression of terminal Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
(ALS) disease.
As each week went by, Ken could do less and less on his own. By April 2017 Ken could not talk and lost power to move his limbs.
Ken now requires round-the-clock care. Unfortunately, all his financial resources have been depleted. He is already in significant debt because of the costs of care. He has been approved for funding through a government program, but still has a shortfall of approximately $10,000 per month. There are simply no services available to cover this kind of specialized care.
Many of our dear friends and family have asked how they can help. The nature of Ken's illness requires specialized care. We as family cannot provide the kind of medical care Ken needs now. So we, Ken and his family, are asking you to donate. This is the best way you can help Ken now.
Please donate if you can. His situation is urgent. Ken no longer has funds to pay for his ongoing care.
Thank you for your support!
