Hurricane Harvey Relief-Latif

It is with a heavy heart that we have to set this up... We're Majid and Jennifer Latif, our dog is Toby and we are among the many affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Like so many in our community, we lost our home in Cinco Ranch area in Houston, Texas. Can you believe we moved to the West side of Houston just days before Hurrican Harvey hit!?!? . We lost about 65% of our belonings. Many of our belongings were still in boxes or crates when he hurricane hit. All of our furniture was destroyed from the massive flooding along with a majority of our kitchen and dining room. We were blessed to be able to escape the flooding and evacuate without being seriously hurt to stay with family for a few days.  We lost Jennifer's SUV as well. Jennifer used her SUV for volunteering with local animal rescues more than using it to go to work. We're currently staying in a hotel, but that will soon change within  a few days. We are being forced to move into a new apartment which intails spending more money than what we werenot prepared for.
What you see on the news doesn't even begin to show the full impact of what has happened. The fourth largest city in the United States has been brought to its knees.There's still massive flooding in the city. We are shattered. 

Whatever amount you can help us with is beyond appreciated. I never thought we would be in this position and it is killing both of us to ask for this kind of assistance, but we have no other choice at the moment. We have no choice but to move forward and stay strong. We'll be taking one step at a time. Your assistance will help us to do exactly that.

This has been the hardest thing we have had to go to in our life. Many of you have offered how to help, and this is how. Please help us get back on our feet.

Many of our family and friends have already asked ‘how can we help you" or ‘let us know if you need anything'' and this how  everyone can help us. We applied to FEMA and are currently waiting assistance since we didn't have flood insurance. 

The money raised for your donations will go towards us buying furniture,kitchen appliances, and moving expenses. From the bottom of our hearts, we truly thank you for helping us get through this difficult time in our lives.
