Puerto Rico Relief & Evacuation

Spende geschützt

As you may know our Island of Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria. The infrastructure has been catastrophically damaged leaving most of the 3.5 million American citizens of Puerto Rico without any power, water, food or communication. Cash is extremely hard to get a hold of there. ATM lines are 12-14 hours long and they are restricted to $100 a day, some only $50. People are getting desperate and we all know that is not good. There is very limited gas and people cannot get medicine or medical help. There are women giving birth on the dirty floors alone. It's very, very bad but it's reality!
We are seeking to evacuate our family members who are not able to live under these conditions. People ask me all the time what it's like to have a big family? I usually smile, because I don't know what it's like to not have someone to call, someone to run to, someone to always laugh with, someone to ask for help from, someone to support, someone who will come over in crisis or someone who will always cheer us on, oh and someone who will always pull you on the dance floor ....don't get me wrong sometimes it can be a headache but in the end I know how blessed we are. How lucky we are to have a tribe of men and women who in the end will always gather together and rise up to help each other.
Last night, my family had a conference call - yes there are that many of us that we need to have a dial in.  After all my mom is one of 18! We gathered to make a plan of action for our dear family suffering in Puerto Rico right now. They are suffering!!! It breaks my heart ❤️ to hear my cousin saying how scared she is for her siblings as they go out hoping for water and food. How we need to evacuate our elderly aunts and uncles who can't imagine leaving their homes, their lively hoods, their homeland. We have an action plan, we are gathering the funds and we are blessed enough to have amazing cousins who can get there on Saturday with supplies...we are blessed!! We will pull our family through and they will be ok, God is Good and are faith is strong.
Stand up for PUERTO RICO ! Do not turn your back on them - they are our moms, dads, children, siblings, aunts, uncles, service members, veterans....
