Cheryl wants each of you to know how very touched, and humbled, she is by your outpouring of love, prayers and financial support.
It means so much to her and her family. Particularly now.
By way of update, Cheryl begins clinical trial treatments at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, either October or November. This experimental protocol requires Cheryl to travel to Tampa once a week.
As many of you know, Cheryl has had three different types of chemotherapy over the past two years, after surgery. She had a very difficult time with her last drug, resulting in many hospital stays and many days of missed work. She begins a fourth drug Friday, until the study in Tampa opens.
Cheryl learned last week that her CA125, a protein found in ovarian cancer cells, is rising. Her husband, Mike, and their two sons, Travis and Trevin, are devoted to keeping Cheryl's outlook and future positive. As are we all!
Updates to follow. With the final one being, of course... Cheryl is 100% healthy! Cured!!!

As we all know...
Cheryl is facing serious challenges to her health right now... privately, courageously, and with enormous grace.
John Wayne would be jealous of her 'true grit.'
So, here's the reason for this email: Cheryl's out-of-pocket medical expenses are mounting. And they are a very big worry and consideration for her.
We can't make them disappear. But together we can make a dent. Lessen her worry. Show her how many caring friends she has. And how much support and affection we feel.
We are proposing a private, grassroots donation Fund so every penny ends up with Cheryl and her family.
So far, unsolicited, the Fund has received checks for $25 and for $500, and several in between.
Any check made out "For the benefit of Cheryl Tharp" and mailed as below will be deposited directly to Cheryl for medical expenses:
