Helping TJ

Hi everyone ! I'm fundraising to help my cousin TJ with medical and living expenses. 2020 has been especially cruel to TJ. It started with the loss of his wife Christine at such a young age and is looks to be winding down with heart surgery. For those that know our family know many of us were born with a hereditary skin disorder called Elhers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). There are many issues that can arise from having a collagen deficiency, but one of the most serious is involving our heart valves. While our family history has been blessed to not have too many issues, our luck has finally run out. Unfortunately, TJ had to undergo open heart surgery on September 3rd to replace a valve with a synthetic one. This was a very risky procedure, but TJ is a fighter! The surgery was a success and TJ came home 1 week later. And now, it seems the real struggle is getting past the medical bills and everyday finances. Sadley, short and long term disability options have been denied due to the dreaded "pre-existing condition". This is where I so desperately need help from all of you. Medically, TJ has a long road to recovery. The last thing he needs to worry about is keeping his home secure for his daughter Kenzi and himself. Mental health is one of the biggest factors in a successful recovery. Let's take some of this financial burden off his shoulders so he can get back to being a energetic goof ball we all love !!
