Hot Dog Ministry-Feeding the homeless

Tax deductible
The Hot Dog Ministry includes groups of volunteers that serve a free warm meal to the homeless and disadvantaged people of downtown Charleston, SC.  The Navigation Center on Meeting Street donates the space that offers a dry place to sit down and eat ( we used to serve under the I-26 bridges on Huger St. and before that in a vacant lot on Meeting Street).  The free meal is offered Tuesday through Sunday evenings at 5pm.   Each night different groups from the community bring food and supplies needed to serve the hungry.  It gives the homeless the opportunity for fellowship with people who care about them.  It gives the volunteer the opportunity to share love with people who need it the most.

We serve along side women and men from different community groups and churches around Charleston.  We bring not only food but also clothes, sometimes bags with snacks and toiletries, medical attention, and even haircuts .
We're fundraising because there isn't enough money coming in to continue feeding 40-60 people 6 nights a week.

It's great to see families working together to serve others!
