Helping The Holtons
Donation protected
I set up this for two close friends of ours. Dani and Derek Holton. Below is the information about the situation that Dani Shared. This will be a long road for the both of them. Please keep them in your prayers and thank you all for any help.
"I wanted to do this post so everyone knows what’s going on. So Derek Holton had a planter wort and it got staph in it. We were treating it and then it got really bad within two days it was so much bacterial infection that they wanted to do surgery to clean all the bacteria out. They told us with it being so swollen and some much bacteria that they might have to amputate one lil toe, then they could only have to take his toes, then it could be his whole foot at worse case. They took him in for surgery at 4pm today and the at 4:45pm-5pm the doctor came out and said that he had grey tissue and gain green was setting in so the took the whole foot. He has from the bottom of his calf all the way down is gone and he will have a pros tic leg. If anyone has any question or anything just let us know. Prayers are appreciated. We have a long road ahead of us! This will not stop him with his career. He will be able to walk and do his job. He is still smiling throughout everything!!!"
Update: They checked his wound and they are good moving forward that he doesn’t have any more infection in it. They are going to do surgery on him tomorrow to complete close it and get it ready for prosthetic.
