The COVID 19 Health Crisis has affected everyone - but it has especially devastated Savannah's (and South Georgia's) immigrant and undocumented communities. Despite paying taxes, most can't apply for government assistance or stimulus during this time, and desperately need relief.
The mission of the Savannah Undocumented Youth Alliance (La SUYA) is to provide financial aid for the immigrant community during this time of crisis; funds will be directly distributed to members of the community and used on food, rent, medicine and other urgent daily necessities. Financial assistance gives people the option to stay home and stay safe, rather than be forced to work paycheck-to-paycheck in dangerous pandemic conditions.
