Helping the Bock's after Harvey

Hi my name is Colton Bock. I have made this page for my parents to help rebuild their home hit by Harvey in Dickinson Tx.
The strongest people I know took a huge blow over the weekend. Harvey dumped more rain than I've ever seen none stop hour after hour. As the water kept creeping up my father looked at me and said "I don't know man. We suited up and went outside in one of the most wicked lightning storms I've ever whitnessed.
The hair on my neck stood as I shoveled my sons sand out of his play house into trash bags. My dad held the make shift bags open as the lightening cracked over and over. I swear we thought it was striking next door as we crouched lower worried we might get hit. Little did we know a few hours later the water outside would come over the top of the bags and into my parents home.
"Helpless" is the only way to describe the feeling. Knowing there was nothing I could do to stop what would soon become a foot of water in the home my parents had worked their entire life for. We placed every thing we could on tables, chairs, counters, shelves, and upstairs. The water just kept coming in so as a sort of panic rushes over you. You just can't get everything the water comes in so fast!
My mom kept reassuring my father everything would be ok "we have flood insurance". See my parents had set their policy up in Spring and have been with State Farm for 30 years same agent, with flood insurance even tho they didn't have to have it. When we moved down to Dickinson my mom had the policy transferred including flood. Seeing how we now lived closer to the coast it was a no brainer.
2 days later the water finally left the house and mom made the call to the insurance man. Who then told her that they were sorry but they dropped all flood policy's a few years back. My parents were never notified of the change or my mom would have gotten it somewhere else. Again It's a no brainer living this close to the coast and Dickinson bayou.
My heart sank because I know they are so tough on the out side but on the inside I can't even imagine. I can feel it tho, it breaks my heart. I love my parents they have always been there for us, friend, and strangers alike. So I've made this for them. If you know Ruby and Don Bock I most likely need say no more.
I feel lost for words writing this I'm so worn out. During the floods we were rescuing people in our John boat and wading through chest deep water. My dad and I have been ripping out the floods damages almost around the clock for days now, to this day and not just in their home but neighbors also. The piles of people's belongings and homes out side grow every day.
FEMA assistance will only take care of some of my parents homes structural repairs. Most of the cost is now on my parents to replace everything else. My dad has been a police officer for 32 years he is 3 months from retirement, my mother has been in the school district as long as I can remember that included my high school. She is always helping and going beyond. I never thought I would be on the asking end for help, we are always the ones helping others. This time my parents really could us any help they can get. Any donation will be beyond Appreciated.
