Helping Support Ashleigh With Fathers Passing

I have known Ashleigh since elementary school (we are now both 21). Ever since I knew her it's always been just her and her dad, so to say they were close is an understatement. Unfortunately, her dad (her best friend) fell ill this August and passed very quickly.
Richard was diagnosed with non-small cell carcinoma lung cancer on August 28th of this year. After this, he was then put into palliative care. During this time they found out that the cancer actually invaded his bones causing them to be much weaker. This created a fracture in his lower back. Richard went through a few days of radiation which relieved a bit of his pain and allowed him to feed himself again. On September 14th Ashleigh found out they were going to release Richard and admit him into a nursing home. As we all know with COVID-19, nursing homes are not allowing any visitors once the patient is admitted. Thankfully, the day before Richard was admitted, Ashleigh was able to spend the day with her father. Unfortunately, Richard Black Jr. passed away the next morning September 16th, 2020.
Ashleigh has always been such a hard-working and independent young woman who was always happy to help her dad. She did not have much time to prepare for his passing both physically and mentally but has been trying her very best to stay afloat; taking over his business and running it as he did, as well as trying to take over his bills and other financial responsibilities, including his funeral costs.
Ashleigh has never been the type to ask people for help even if she is on her last dollar. Because of this, I am reaching out to each and every one of you on my friend's behalf.
