Miki Loveless is an amazing individual who has dedicated her life to helping improve the lives of pets who have disabilities or ones who otherwise would not find a loving home.
Over the past few weeks, her bulldog Indie started to have very serious health problems. Indy began to show some symptoms / behaviors that weren't normal just a couple weeks ago. After several visits to the vet, a diagnosis was not clear. Indie was weak, not very active, and really struggling. The IV antibiotics had very little to no affect.
Just this past week, Indie began to rapidly decline. This included becoming more weak, having seizures, etc. However, the vets were not able to identify any definitive diagnosis. After the last seizure, it was determined that Indie would not have any quality of life after this. The heartbreaking decision was made to say good-bye to Indie and his suffering in a humane way.
This tragedy had a huge emotional and financial impact on Miki. Her love ran very deep for Indie as she tried to provide the best life possible for such a dear pet. Unfortunately, the outcome was not what anyone would have hoped.
The financial impact of all of this was $7,500 in veterinary bills. We are asking for any kind of assistance in helping reduce this burden on Miki. She would like to return to a place where she can continue to provide a safe home for these amazing animals. Our gratitude abounds for any help you are able to provide.
