Helping Phil & Sarah With Life After Stroke

Donation protected
3 days ago our world changed forever when my father was admitted to the Neurological ICU after a suffering from a stroke affecting his ability to walk and care for himself. While he was in the emergency room, doctors drew lab work which showed his blood sugar was a life threatening levels; along with the initial shock of the stroke, he was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Prior to his admission to the hospital he had never been diagnosed with any medical conditions, he was an avid golfer, UT Vols lifetime fan, and pre-COVID attended his grandchildren’s local sports and school events. These new diagnoses were issues no one foresaw.
He is retired and he and his wife, Sarah, are on a one person income. While they do have insurance, the cost of his multiple days in intensive care, procedures in the hospital and most importantly his recovery journey at home will add up quickly.
Phil’s children are setting up this fundraiser to allow friends and family of the crew to show their love and support via donations to Phil and Sarah to help cover costs of medical care, and to help raise emergency funds that would allow his wife to take some time off of work so that she can be home with him to help support and encourage Phil as he learns to walk and care for himself again.
