Bushfire relief fund... changed the title as people couldn’t find us on the go fund me page I thought I would start a go fund me page for a best mate and his lovely family. Having everything stripped away from a new and growing young family is so heart breaking no insurance on all there goods has left them with nothing... this is a msg I have asked for them to write so people can read some of the things there going through....... we know that so many people are going through the same and we are all sending everyone our love and support as well as everyone helping... A msg from the loving family................ . We sit here with sadness in our hearts after the currowan fire ripped through our little family home on the 31st of December. We are a young family of three our names are casey, Sarah & our 6month old baby girl Luna.
We left our little home on the 19th of December as the fire grew closer and closer to our house, the smoke was to thick to stay around with a baby so we decided we would stay with family & come back each day if we could to wet down the house and put feed & water out for all the poor suffering animals. We packed a few precious items for the three of us, but we never believed that we would lose everything!
Our home our beautiful little home in the forest where our love story began, where we brought our baby girl home from hospital only 6 months ago is gone, all our precious items are gone.
So Now we have to prepare to rebuild our lives and start again. It doesn’t feel real! We are both so very lost, but we have no other choice but to come to terms with what has happened over the past week.
After the devastation of the fires down the south coast and what is not even over yet we are still in a state of emergency. so many family’s have lost so much. People have lost lives, animals, homes & businesses. We have heard so many horrific stories of people losing there lives trying to defend there homes, it is truely the most terrifying times we have ever seen. people are being left with nothing! Our community is suffering, people families and animals are in dire need of help! So We are asking for help, help to rebuild our lives so we can finish our bus & have somewhere to bring our baby girl home each day.
Our home was in little forest, 10 mins north of Milton, there have been homes lost all around! Lake conjola suffered great loss on Tuesday the 31st of dec. lives were lost. Batemans bay where I grew up had absolutely no warning of these terrible fires, families were forced to run for the lives. A Family member aged 1yr suffered carbon monoxide poisoning while running from the fires. These communities are suffering great great loss!
