Helping Our Superman

Four years ago tragedy hit Art and his family. He received news that no one ever wants to hear and very few can imagine. Art was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Due to late detection with no prior symptoms, chemo and radiation treatments were not enough. In 2014, the cancer metastasized and he was told he was terminal and was given 2-5 years. The cancer had spread to his lymphatic system as well his hip and spine. After fighting to slow the cancer down, sadly it still continues to spread and is now in his face and skull as well increased tumors in his back and lymph nodes. All measures to treat his cancer have been exhausted.
The financial stress of such an illness has definitely taken a toll on the couple and their children. As a result of Art’s poor health, he was forced to retire and Stacey also had to take a step back from work to provide full-time care to Art. The financial strain has once increased as Art is now in Hospice House for his final leg of his journey, but with this also comes the cost of his stay. Any financial contributions to help alleviate some of the pressure from Stacey and Art’s family to help with the costs of hospice and imminent funeral costs would be greatly appreciated and accepted with the deepest of gratitude.
