Helping our friends, a family in need!!

Hi, my name is Chris and I am fundraising for our family friends. This a family of 5: husband, wife and three amazing daughters of which their youngest daughter and my youngest daughter are friends. A few years ago, the father was in a horrible car accident, leaving him with significant brain damage and legally blind. The loss of his income to the family was devastating. Since that time, we've come to find out that they've been living almost hand to mouth, with the mother bearing the vast majority of the bills, caring for him outside of the prescribed 8-hour nurse provided by the state all while juggling a full time job and raising 2 daughters going to college on scholarships and the youngest one entering high school. As if that wasn't enough, she was recently involved in a car accident that totaled their older Honda Accord and left them without a vehicle. My wife and I have only recently come to understand the gravity of their financial situation as the mother is a super kind woman who doesn't let people in on her private life, easily. They have no family in the area, we've discovered, and are on their own. This GoFundMe is to help them get some funds to procure a vehicle, no easy feat in today's used car market. My wife and I are helping where we can and driving the majority of things needed, but we obviously can't do everything.
