Our friend Kennie Woolwine , better known as John “The Body” Johnson , has been suffering with neurofibromatosis , a condition in which tumors can grow in the body and most notably in the nervous system .
John’s condition effects 1 in every 3500 folks so it’s very specialized and expensive to treat . John will be having several surgeries upcoming to remove tumors , some the size of large grapefruits , from his siatic nerve . The surgeries are necessary to help aliviate unbearable day to day pain among many other medical issues . The biggest issue is that the tumor is likely to become cancerous if not operated on very soon.
The positioning of the tumor in the pelvic area sits on the siatic nerve, recently John was told his first surgery to remove the large tumor will cause paralysis .
With the costs of medical bills associated coupled with having to take time off from work , John and his family have suffered financially . John is still working on a daily basis minus the doctors appointments , to provide for his family but as the tumors grow and inevitable surgery , it will be much harder for him to provide .
The kind of surgery and treatment nerofibromatosis requires will be expensive and even more financially draining to John and his family moving forward .
